Goals

Calendars

As we enter into a new year we set goals for ourselves. Some we will reach with ease and some we may have to struggle to reach. As we work towards each goal, remember to set realistic ones. Realistic goals that we can achieve. Small ones are more achievable than large ones. Be proud of a small achievement. Remember--be faithful over a few things (Matt 25:23).

Please share with me some of your goals or let me know when you have achieved some of your goals:

  • Learn How To Bake A Pie
  • Call Your Mother/Dad or A Love One Every Day
  • Learn How To Play The Piano

Reaching out to others

Visit a Nursing Home--let us know how many times
Call someone that was not feeling well--let us know how
many times
Visit someone that lost a loved one--share with us
We'll be glad to hear from you

Word for today

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3)

God Gave You a Smile
(Created for Bonita -- December 2008)
We met in my old community.
Both reaching out to our young.
I was reading inspirational poetry.
And you came forth in song.
I saw you again in concert.
At that church, you testified.
How GOD gave you a miracle
And blessed you with a smile.
You sing in an unique style.
With conviction and power, One of my favorite songs,
Is "Give Me My Flowers."
Your songs tell of loved ones lost.
I can feel the hurt and pain you faced, GOD healed your heart
Now you're walking and singing in His grace.
GOD said "He'll Never Leave You Alone."
We'll keep using our spiritual gifts, Reading poetry and singing for JESUS
And giving hearts a special lift.
It doesn't matter how big or small the church.
You sing from your heart, in a rec center or project playground
You step up to the plate and do your part
When traveling, you sing GOD's praises.
All around VA, MD, and DC, Wherever you sing, Sister Bonita
We know that's the place to be!!!
